Happier Children Youth Group
Funded by Children in Need we provide a unique programme of support specifically for children who have experienced the trauma of Domestic Violence and Abuse in the family home. As part of this programme we offer a youth group for children and young people 4-11years.

The aim of this group is to help children and young people come together, learn new skills, grow in confidence and help them terms with their experiences and to develop positive lifestyle and coping strategies.

Food is provided as the young people cook together, set the table and eat together sharing stories of their week and learning family values.

Each week a different activity is provided. We use play and sensory play weekly to help them engage with one another and create stronger relationships.

The group is very fun and friendly and is run by our experienced project workers and volunteers.

The group meets every Thursday 3.30-5.30pm at our base on Drake Street

Our friends at Maqio Toys have been visiting our Happier Children's group allowing them to participate in toy reviews.

This has helped build their skills, confidence and self esteem and they have all been able to keep the toys they have reviewed.

Lots of happier children and lots of smiley faces
