Our brand-new Peer Support Service is funded by The Community Foundation for Lancashire, via the Tampon Tax Fund and aims to train up women who have accessed our domestic violence and abuse services to work to support new women coming into the organisation who have also been affected by domestic abuse.
Mentors offer advice and guidance to any new people to positively influence their lives and help them to take control and change their future. These individuals can be suffering from a range of issues including bullying, poverty, abuse and many more traumatising experiences and by using a person-centred approach, our mentors are able to work effectively for encouraging results.
Full training is provided to all involved and they are fully supervised.
These women are going to be positive role models and inspire and encourage others to take positive steps.
