In partnership with Early Break this programme aim is to support young people affected by domestic abuse through 1:1 support, therapeutic interventions and some group work. We aim to increase victim safety and reduce abuse by educating young people about healthy relationships and what abuse is, provide young people with a safe space to explore the impact domestic abuse has had on them and their well-being and give young people strategies to help them build resilience and recover from the domestic abuse.
This programme is for children and young people aged between 5-18 who are living in safer accommodation (property move, cameras, new locks) and have been impacted by domestic abuse. We are only able to accept referrals from specific streams ie Victim Support, Safenet. Young people referred will be offered 12 weeks + of intervention that will enable them to;

Young people can be referred in to RCT and will be accessed by one of our experienced trauma informed practitioners who will then put together a plan of support based on individual need.
The programme is suitable for children aged 5-16 years and can be delivered on a 1:1 or group basis.
There are 6 sessions in this programme and each session is 45-60 minutes. The impact of the programme is measured using the Emotional Awareness Questionnaire pre and post programme. |
