We asked the people of Rochdale to tell us about any changes they would like to see that would enable them to feel safe in the Borough.

THE 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM
25th November -
|
As part of 2024’s 16 days of activism for the White Ribbon Campaign with RCT, WHAG hosted an Anti-Harassment Bystander Training session with the Suzy Lamplugh Trust. During a discussion about violence against women and girls (VAWG), it was shared that some are reluctant to intervene should they witness harassment out of fear for their own safety. This training session is to provide people of all genders the knowledge on how to intervene safely should they witness someone being harassed.
The event will took place on Thursday 5 December at 12pm at the Rochdale Masonic Hall. It was kindly funded by L’oreal, and as such was free to all attendees. We hope that those who were able to attend found it useful and felt empowered to personally make the world a safer place for everyone. Tickets are no longer available but you can follow WHAG via this link: https://tinyurl.com/27gugbkg |
