John joined the Board of Trustees at Rochdale Connections Trust in 2014 and has been a valuable addition to the team.
He commenced employment for Greater Manchester Probation service in 1987 having completed a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work at the University of Manchester. John worked as a Probation Officer in Manchester until 1996 before moving to work for Lancashire Probation service based at Preston Prison. Whilst working at the prison John studied law at the University of Central Lancashire. Having qualified, he left the Probation service and worked for Molesworths Bright Clegg Solicitors in Rochdale from 2002 to 2008. John then had a brief period of employment working as a solicitor for the Crown Prosecution Service before moving back to Greater Manchester Probation Trust in January 2009 where he remains.
John is also a Trustee of another local charity - Heywood Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (HAODS). He has been a member of their committee for approximately 4 years.
