What we've learned so far: participants have shared lived experiences of navigating mental health support, including how housing issues can intersect with wellbeing and the emotional impact of systems that don’t always join up.
These can be frustrating and, for some, deeply triggering.
It's only through these conversations that we can better understand where support works well and where change is needed.
Each session focusses on sharing ideas and approaches that others may find helpful too.

Mental Health Co-Production Network across Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale. Co-production means working together as equals to create a service or make decisions that work for everyone. It’s based on the idea that the people who use a service know best how to improve it. By listening to their ideas and working as a team, co-production helps create better, more useful solutions for everyone. The aim of this project is to gain a genuine, comprehensive understanding of the views, experiences, and ideas of people with direct or indirect experience with mental health. We will facilitate engagement with people with lived experience in this network, by holding bi-monthly meetings in venues across Rochdale Borough, including online. All are welcome.
