​Time4Me is a therapeutic service for children and young people who are affected by the harms of domestic violence and abuse, experienced in the family home. Delivered over 12 sessions, children and young people will receive 1:1 support from either a Counsellor or Play Therapist, depending on their age and needs, to begin the process of recovery, develop coping skills and building resilience.

We provide a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for young people to explore any presenting issues. Sessions can be held in one of RCT's counselling rooms or in school settings. Alongside the 1:1 sessions participants will have access to our after-school groups where they can access a range of fun, positive free time activities and develop peer relations in safe, supportive and friendly environment. Referrals must be sent through Victim Support Rochdale. 

​Our aim is to help children and young people come to terms with their experiences and to develop positive lifestyle and coping strategies.

Outcomes achieved are:
100% of children reported a greater awareness of safer relationships and how to keep themselves safe
100% of children reported a greater understanding of healthy relationships in the context of domestic violence
84% of children reported that they are more able to have their say and their voice is heard
84% of children reported that their emotional health and well-being  improved
87% of children reported an improved attitude to education
90% of children reported improved overall resilience on the Core10 or Outcomes Star tool
​84% of children reported to have been satisfied with the service (from those who completed the survey)

Young people can be referred via Victim Support. 

The programme is suitable for children aged 5-16 years and can be delivered on a 1:1 or group basis.
